Thirty seven teams it came to be, a new boat from Vic's was the ultimate guarantee. Mother had been kind the entire year, no serious thunderstorms or lightining to fear. Another sunny warm day and spirits renewed, would the top teams finally become unglued? The catfish have ticks it's been so dry, but our Mother is famous for her bassn' in July. The drawdown and heat means just one thing, lateral lined green meat and a bonejarring rod swing!
88 fish for 189lbs ~ 2.14lb field avg. So the story goes...
Joe Engler and and his son Brian holding the first place sack of 18.74lbs. Wait a minute...??? Joe did it again! Back to back wins with an impressive weight and bringing home 3rd place point champ for 2005. Now that things have settled a little, the reveal. Despite his reluctance of a promotional admission, Joe's newest bluegill colors on a larger BassSpirit handcrafted crank led to the crossarmed success today. All crankn' fish hopefully persuading Joe to release the little piece of wood to the public!!! Come on Joe we're beggn'!!! Total pay $843 with 4.91BB and 15#pot. Thanks for all the help as the right fin of the series !!!
Just a horrible pic of a now sleepless, stressed out, overweight director from a phenominal day of fishn'! Crankn' the south portion of a channel lined with stumps, summer stacked bass makn' me feel smart after culling up to 16.57. Second place for $333 and the much desired piece of wood missin' from the wall the past couple of years. Thanks to all the lado anglers for an awesome year, your continued comraderie motivates me!!!
They came, they fished and they perservered. Matt Robbins and John Whitaker in their first year on Mother bringing in 5 for 13.34lbs and clinching 2005 POINT CHAMPIONS. A payback today of 3rd place for $333 with 3rdBB of 4.58 on top of a Vic's Sports Center Starcraft jon boat on a Yacht Club trailer valued retail $1800.
